Club Roles

WHITEHORSE MUSTANGS

Committee of Management

The Whitehorse Mustangs Basketball Club is governed by a Committee of Management (the Committee). These are volunteer leadership roles responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and governance of the club.

  • President – Chairs the Committee and provides overall leadership
  • Secretary – Manages administration, governance correspondence, and meeting coordination
  • Treasurer – Oversees club financial management and reporting
  • Vice President – Supports the President and assists with strategic and operational matters
  • General Committee (multiple) – Provide additional oversight, contribute to decision-making, and support club initiatives

Each Committee member contributes to the management and development of the club. In addition to governance responsibilities, many Committee members also volunteer their time supporting club activities and community engagement.

Committee members are elected at the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), typically held in November each year. If vacancies arise during the year, the Committee may appoint new members to maintain effective governance and operations.

Join the Committee

If you are interested in contributing to the leadership and future of the Whitehorse Mustangs, we welcome your involvement.

Please speak with an existing Committee member or contact the President directly at president@whitehorsebasketball.org.au to discuss opportunities.

Casual Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to support the club on a casual basis during events such as finals, presentation days, and community activities.

Whether assisting with court supervision during finals, helping with event operations, or contributing to our barbecue and hospitality activities, every volunteer makes a meaningful difference to the Whitehorse Mustangs community.

Look out for club communications on how you can get involved.
