Mustangs

Whitehorse Mustangs is a junior domestic basketball club based in Blackburn South, providing opportunities for boys and girls to play, learn and develop their skills in a supportive community environment.

We field teams across three competitions: the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA), Greater Eastern Basketball Conference (GEBC) and Melbourne East Basketball Association (MEBA), offering clear pathways for players at every stage of their basketball journey.

COMPETITION INFO

We also run Mini Mustangs, a weekly beginner skills program for children aged 5 to 9 who are new to basketball. The program focuses on learning the fundamentals in a fun, inclusive setting, helping young players build confidence, coordination and a love for the game.

WE ARE AN INCLUSIVE CLUB

Whitehorse Amateur Basketball Association (WABA) and Whitehorse Mustangs Basketball Club are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone involved in our sport.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we practice and play, and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We recognise the outstanding contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples make to Australian society and sport, and acknowledge that Australia has been shaped by people from many cultures and communities. We believe sport has the power to bring people together, promote reconciliation, and build understanding.

Our club is committed to embracing diversity and eliminating all forms of discrimination. Basketball is for everyone, and we welcome all people regardless of ethnicity, faith, ability, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Together, we strive to ensure our courts are places of respect, inclusion and belonging, on and off the court.
