Girls Showcase Round 2026

Girls Showcase Round 2026

This week, the Eastern District Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA), alongside the Whitehorse Mustangs, proudly takes part in the 2026 Girls Showcase Round, a celebration of girls and women in basketball and the vital role they play across our sport.

The Girls Showcase Round highlights the talent, dedication, and leadership of female athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers, while reinforcing the importance of creating inclusive and supportive pathways for girls at every level of the game.

In conjunction with the Showcase Round, EDJBA’s Pink Sport Day continues its mission to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA). Breast cancer affects thousands of Australians every year, with more than 20,000 people diagnosed annually. Awareness, education, and early detection remain critical.

No matter your gender, getting checked can save lives. Regular self-checks and screenings help with early detection and improve outcomes. For more information on breast cancer awareness and support services, visit bcna.org.au.

The Girls Showcase Round is an opportunity not only to celebrate women in sport but also to stand together as a basketball community in support of an important cause.

Donations to EDJBA’s Pink Sport Day can be made here. Every contribution helps support those impacted by breast cancer and the ongoing work of BCNA.

Together, we celebrate, we support, and we make a difference.
