Mustangs Celebrate Grand Final Victories
The Mustangs have wrapped up the 2026 Winter Season finals campaign with a five-win Grand Final haul, as seven teams competed for wins across a huge weekend of basketball.
Five teams finished their seasons as Grand Final winners, while two more finished as runners-up after making it all the way to the final game.
Five Teams Crowned Winners
The U11 Boys 1 got the weekend off to a winning start, holding their nerve against Blackburn Vikings to secure a 41–38 victory.
The U11 Boys 2 followed with a convincing 50–32 win over Banyule Hawks, while U13 Boys 3 produced one of the closest results of the weekend, edging Doncaster Panthers 40–38.
U15 Boys 3 delivered another strong performance, defeating Blackburn Vikings 35–21 to claim their Grand Final victory.
The U21 Girls 1 rounded out the Mustangs’ championship wins with a hard-fought 34–30 victory over Banyule.

Two Grand Final Runners-Up
It was heartbreak for U15 Boys 1, who fell just short against Eltham Wildcats in a three-point thriller, 34–37.
U19 Boys 2 also finished runners-up, going down 27–36 to Ivanhoe Knights.
Both teams can be proud of reaching the final stage of the season and competing for a championship.

The results cap off a strong finals campaign for the club and provide plenty of reasons to celebrate as the 2026 Winter Season comes to a close.
